Technical retard

My first actual piece of digital work. I designed this in illustrator and repeated the image to make a pattern. I am interested in pattern and surface design as my work has always had a pattern and repetitive quality. This political and editorial illustration mush doesn't really do anything for me.

Sewing Buildings

A previous brief was called 'Sense of Place' I chose to illustrate deralict pubs and warehouses in Digbeth to show the atmosphere of the run down area using line and colour tequniques. I enjoyed experimenting using thread and sewing machine as a different style of mark making. These final images are pretty successful and were also quite fun to make. I was proud...

Don McCullin Exhibition - Victoria Art Gallery, Bath - 'Shaped by War'.

Last week while in Bath I saw Don McCullin's 'Shaped by War' exhibition. The black and white images provoke so much emotion and everyone there was clearly touched. His photographs definitely shape awareness of modern conflict and the added personal memorabilia and audio guides with McCullin's commentaries really bring the work to life.

Starving nine-year-old Ibo albino boy, Biafra 1969

Start at the beginning

At the beginning, apparently its the best best place to start
Bit of black and white photography and collage. If I remember rightly I developed these beauties myself too.
